Anonymous: OpNewBlood

First off, welcome to www.anonnews.org. This is a press release directed towards newcomers to to the Anonymous universe. Anonymous has had nothing but growing popularity as of recent times across news reports from around the world, referring to: HBGary, Wikileaks, „>The Westboro Baptist Church, Stephen Colbert’s The Colbert Report, et cetera. Do a google search with any of these names along with „Anonymous“ in the search and you will see how many news reports have sprung up.

Some of you may be partial to some of the causes of Anonymous, of which there are many (especially as of late), but we will not digress into those. Some of you may be wondering, what exactly is Anonymous? How do they communicate? How do they organize? How do they take action? Some of you may be wondering: How may I lend my man-hours to some of these causes?
First off, there is no „I“ in Anonymous (literally and figuratively): We are Anonymous. Anonymous has no leader and no government (per John Perry Barlow’s Declaration of Independence of Cyberspace). The closest thing to a name any Anonymous may come to is a regular alias on IRC (Internet Relay Chat), but even at that a great portion of Anonymous opt out on any formal name.

IRC is a very basic way for people to chat. Think of AIM, Skype, or GoogleTalk. However instead of chatting mostly between two people, users join chat rooms called channels, but you can however still participate in conversations between only two people.
For information on how to set up IRC on your computer and joining the conversation, refer to the uber secret Anonymous handbook, with clients you can use on page 32 through 35, with information on how to connect on page 29.

You may have noticed a general concern for security of your identity and maintaining a certain level of anonymity while browsing the internet in the handbook. There are plenty of ways to secure this, but the simplest and most basic is the Tor Project, which can be found at www.torproject.org.

It should be noted:

Tor is a proxy network that helps hide your IP. It does NOT encrypt data.
There have been some claims of specific countries [such as Iran]
circumventing Tor protection.“

This is taken directly from the uber secret Anonymous handbook on page 12. Read more about IP addresses on page 8. Tor is quite easy to set up: read a how to on their website here. It will appear on your computer after installation as Vidalia, a graphic interface to use Tor. Use it in conjunction with Firefox, using the Tor button, which will appear at the bottom of the browser as a small onion icon. Check to make sure it is running properly by using the Tor Check website. Also, refer to page 15 of the uber secret Anonymous handbook for Firefox plug ins you should install.

Now, there are plenty of ways that Anonymous operates against its targets, but the simplest and most accessible form is online fax spamming. Black Faxing and White Faxing. Read the wiki on Black Faxing here to get the general idea. White faxing is quite the opposite, sending faxes to people with information to help people in need. OpNewBlood will be doing these faxings exclusively, since it is the easiest and safest form of operations.

To those who need help with any of this, and to those already knowledgeable whose help will be desperatly needed to help n00bs, join the IRC channel to help:
